Proyecto desarrollado durante el Rafael Manzano Martos Premio Summerschool 2015.
La idea es tomar una "plaza" urbana con una gran cantidad de problemas, como el "elemento" existente que se ha construido en elal o la pendiente del terreno y transformarlo en un espacio para la ciudad de Madrid y su gente.
Hemos creado dos espacios diferentes. El primero de ellos está relacionado con la ciudad, abierto a los edificios más altos. En este espacio hemos colocado dos edificios, un Campanile que puede actuar como un "faro" para atraer la atención de la gente que pasa por las calles de alrededor. El otro es un mercado de hierro fundido que puede reunir a la gente, una vez que los hayamos atraido a la "plaza". Estos dos edificios enmarcan vistas diferentes de la ciudad, por eso el proyecto se llama "Los Miradores".
El segundo espacio es el que está destinado para la gente que vive cerca de la Plaza de Santo Domingo. Se trata de un jardín con árboles donde los habitantes pueden pasar su tiempo juntos.
Project created during the Rafael Manzano Martos Prize Summerschool 2015. It was developed by four students: Alberto Cubillo, Andrea Güezmes, Zilvinas Klivickas and Inés Mendoza.
The idea was to take an urban "plaza" with a lot of problems, like the existing "element" that has been built on it or the slope and transform it into a space for the city of Madrid and its people.
We have created two diferent spaces. The first one is related to the city, open to the highest buildings. In this space we placed two buildings, a Campanile that can act like a "Totem" to attract the atention from people passing by. The other one is a cast iron market that can gather people together, once we have brought them to the "plaza". These two buildings frame diferent views of the city, that's why the project is called "Los Miradores". The second space is the one for the people who live near Plaza Santo Domingo. It is a garden with trees where citiziens can spend their time together.
